I've been preparing for thirty, by calling myself that since I was about 27 and a half. So the adjustment period has been smooth. The only major difference so far is that I have finished my first draft for my first book!! I had intended on being finished with it about 5 days ago. The goal was to have it done before I turned 30 but better this is just fine by me. Of course it's just a first draft. I still have some touchups and revisions but it's all downhill from here. I can finally start calling myself a writer, and it was 30 years in the making.
